Discuss issues facing Greenbrier County, West Virginia and beyond! This is an election year and our discussions should prove to be interesting as always!! Let’s be informed!!

B. Move It or Lose It

Fun, upbeat, low impact fitness routine based on the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program. A proven method to improve the shape we are in, no matter what that might be! Let’s MOVE IT!

C. Have You Read Any Good Books Lately?

Do you like to read and hear about ‘new’ books and authors? Do have a favorite book of all time? Our book group joins Adventures in Learning once again. We do meet year round to discuss what everyone is reading! It may be the latest best seller or an all time favorite. Bring a book each week to tell about . Find a new favorite!!

D. Tai Chi

Tai Chi has been described as “meditation in motion” for mind, body and spirit. The movements do not require deep bending or squatting. Using the Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi warm-up program and other classic Tai Chi movements, you will discover new ways to explore your potential.

E. SCGV’s “TED Talks”

Introduction to the internet phenomenon ‘TED Talks.’ These are videos focused on self, local and global issues with the intention of promoting lively discussions. Topics will initially be chosen and then participants will pick topics of their choice.

A very interesting class on lesser known religions or congregations in our area. Our participants asked for a continuation this session. The presenters are very knowledgeable and interesting!

Six weeks of John’s stories, music, history and anything Appalachian! We all enjoy John’s classes and the opportunity to learn more about the rich heritage in our area. Come join us!

Fee: $20 Limited Class Size: 15

Find a dowel-railed chair that needs a new seat. In the class you will learn how to weave a split bottom seat. (No caning, chairs with small holes) Materials you will need to bring to class with you:

Joan has extra basket materials. If you have woven baskets previously with Joan, register and come make an egg or market basket.

Back by popular demand, we will continue to explore where certain things first originated! Last year we brought to light interesting facts about nursery rhymes, foods, railroads, phrases, and more. Where will we be investigating this session? Come join us!

What is Mah Jongg? Would you like to learn to play the game? Sharpen your skills? This group meets year round and welcomes skilled players and newcomers wanting to learn the game! Come join our group!!

The Bridge Group

Want to play bridge? Come join our group during Adventures in Learning ! Please note your skill level on the registration form! We would like to continue to play after classes are over...if you are interested, please let us know!
