Shepherd's Center of Greenbrier Vally has offered opportunities for people who want to "give back" by helping the older adults in the Greenbrier Valley since 1999. We presently have 182 registered volunteers who offer regular or sporadic help to disabled or frail adults. Volunteers are the backbone of Shepherd's Center.

Shepherd's Center of Greenbrier Valley has been a Faith in Action program since 2001. Faith in Action is a national network of interfaith organizations. The motto is "A neighbor's independence depends on you." People of many faiths join together to help the disabled and older adults in their communities in a variety of ways.

Shepherd's Center of Greenbrier Valley volunteers must take a brief orientation class and a criminal background check.
